Hello, Members of the Williams Class of 1971!

 

     I write to share with you details about the room blocks the 50th Reunion Program has secured for the Class of 1971 for our 50th Reunion next summer from Sunday, August 7 to Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Thank you for your patience as the college worked with their colleagues at the Williams Inn and Fairfield Inn to ensure space.  Below are the detailed

instructions for reserving a room at either the Williams Inn or Fairfield Inn, as well as alternative accommodation options. You have the option of making your room block reservations by phone or online. Please note, if you are making your reservations online, you must use the customized links that are provided in this email to access the special room block rates.

Room Blocks

  • Williams Inn (https://www.williamsinn.com/) We have reserved all 64 available rooms in the Williams Inn, now located at the base of Spring Street for the 50th Reunion Class of 1971. Rooms in the block are available from Sunday, August 7 –  Wednesday, August 10 at the rate of $279/night for standard rooms, $399/night for junior suites and $499/night for king suites and a minimum two-night stay. To reserve a room by phone, you must call the Inn at 413-458-9371 and mention the code “1971WC50TH” when prompted. To reserve a room online, please click here for the customized room block link. Please note, suites must be booked by calling the Inn directly. The release date for unreserved rooms in the block is July 7, 2022.

  • The Fairfield Inn (https://www.marriott.com/hotels/fact-sheet/travel/albfw-fairfield-inn-and-suites-williamstown//) We have reserved 20 rooms at the Fairfield Inn, just a few minutes drive from campus, under the group name “Williams College Class of 1971 50th Reunion” The rate is $179/night from Sunday, August 7 – Wednesday, August 10, with a minimum two-night stay. Rooms that are not booked will be released on June 23, 2022.

Other Options

  • Destination Williamstown lists numerous local hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts, including Tourists (a boutique motel 5 minutes from campus) and Porches (across from Mass MoCA in North Adams). Visit the listings online at: destinationwilliamstown.org/venues/category/stay

  • College dorm rooms: There will be dorm bedrooms available to class members and spouses for the weekend (Sunday, August 7 through Wednesday morning, August 10). Each room has a twin bed and a communal bathroom space on each floor. While the rate has not yet been finalized, in recent years the fee has been in the range of $80/person for the three-night stay.
